Apple to Add Smart Features to New M4 Macs: Report

Share post:

Apple is getting ready to make big changes to its Mac computers. They’re making new processors called M4, which are really good at handling artificial intelligence tasks. Bloomberg says Apple wants to put these new processors in all their Mac computers.

They’re planning to start using these processors at the end of this year and the beginning of next year. This means they’ll update different Mac models. They’ll have new iMacs, a cheaper 14-inch MacBook Pro, and more powerful 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, as well as Mac minis.

The computer industry is having a tough time after the pandemic, when lots of people needed computers for working and learning from home. But now, things are slowing down. Some new powerful computer chips might help boost sales again. Big companies like Intel, Qualcomm, and Nvidia are also making chips that are good for artificial intelligence, to keep up with what people want.

Apple is planning to use their new M4 chips to make their computers smarter, especially with the next macOS update. They haven’t said much about it yet, but people are excited to hear more at their conference in June.

Apple’s Mac computers haven’t been selling as well lately. But by introducing these new M4 chips, they’re hoping to get people interested in Macs again. They started this with the M3 chips and new MacBook Pro and iMac models last October.
